Pumpkin dessert is one of the main desserts and adding milk and starch to the pumpkin makes the taste of this dessert balanced and popular. You can determine the amount of dessert sweetness according to your taste.
- Pumpkin: 1 kg
- Starch: 3 tablespoons
- Milk: 3 glasses
- Rose: 1 third of a measure
- Sugar: Optional
- Cinnamon: Optional for garnish
How to prepare
You have to cook a kilo of pumpkin. One way to cook pumpkins is to chop them as shown below and put them in a pot. Pour one to two tablespoons of water on the bottom of the pot and let it cook. While the pumpkin is cooking, dissolve 3 tablespoons of the starch in a glass of cold milk.
Cook the pumpkin and dissolve the milk and starch. When the pumpkin (squash) is fully cooked and soft, mash it well to form a puree. Then add the milk and starch mixture along with two more glasses of milk and the desired amount of sugar and stir.
Continue stirring until it reaches the desired concentration. Finally, add a third of a cup of rose water to the mixture and let it soak for a couple of minutes. Remember that adding starch to this dessert does not add much flavor and only makes your pumpkin dessert more consistent and better.
Stir in the pumpkin milk and your pumpkin is ready and you can pour it in your favorite dish and decorate it with cinnamon and pumpkin pieces. Instead of starch, you can also use rice flour. To do this, follow the instructions below.
