It is one of the delicious Iranian dishes that the people of Shiraz prepare. Pomegranate soup is suitable for Yalda and Durahmi nights. In different parts of Iran, this soup is prepared, which in some cities uses a variety of beans or semolina, but in Shiraz, thisĀ  soup is made of split pea and rice. Pomegranate soup is prepared with meat and decorated with pomegranate seeds and hot onions. If you do not have meat available, remove the meat. This soup is so delicious that you can add it to your diet along with other soups.

Ingredients :

  1. split pea : 1 glass
  2. Half-grain rice: 1 cup
  3. Onion: 3 pieces
  4. Vegetable soup: 500 grams
  5. Pomegranate juice: 4 glasses
  6. Pomegranate paste: 1/3 cup
  7. Meat stock: 1 piece
  8. Minced meat: as desired
  9. Salt, pepper and turmeric: as needed

Preparation Method:

split pea with some salt to soak for a few hours, then put it on the heat to boil once and cover it. Wet the rice with some water.

Finely chop 2 onions, then pour into the desired pot and add a little oil, fry until golden and light, then add a little turmeric and black pepper to make it colorful and golden, then soak the soaked cobs with rice Add and pour the meat stock that you opened with some boiling water into the pot and put the lid on the pot and let the split pea and rice cook.

When the rice is blossomed and the cobs are cooked and soft, it is time to add the vegetables. Add the vegetables and let the vegetables cook. When the vegetables are cooked, add the pomegranate juice.

After adding the pomegranate juice, you should add the smooth pomegranate paste (pomegranate paste is optional, but it is recommended not to remove it), then measure the salt of the soup and let the soup settle well.

Grate the onion and take the extra water, then mix it with the minced meat and add a little salt, black and turmeric and knead, then make small dumplings and put them in the refrigerator for half an hour, then fry in hot oil. .

When the stew is completely thickened and set, add 2 ounces of hot mint to the stew and add the fried stir-fried meat and give it for another 10 minutes, then remove from the heat and pour into a serving dish and place on it. Train to your liking.
