Monsef is one of the authentic dishes of the Arab people, which is cooked and served as an ancient Arabic tradition, especially during the great festivals such as Eid al-Fitr. In fact, the reason for naming the food goes back to the way it was served, in which food was first poured into large trays, which were called monsoon, and distributed among the guests for iftar or holidays.

You can serve this delicious Jordanian dish with delicious pilaf and saffron. Of course, the main ingredients for cooking this Arabic dish are lamb, which is flavored and mixed using other ingredients. The size of the materials mentioned in this recipe is for 4 people. Ingredients :

  1. Red meat: 300 grams
  2. Medium onion: 1 piece
  3. Eggs: 1 piece
  4. Yogurt: 100 grams
  5. Butter: 100 grams
  6. Salt and red pepper: as needed

Preparation Method:

First, chop the meat and fry it in a pot with a little melted butter.

Then add the spices and pour a little water in the pot and let the meat cook completely over medium heat.

Finely chop the onion and add to the dish.

Pour the yogurt into another bowl and place over medium heat.

After a few minutes, add salt and eggs to the yogurt and mix.

Now turn off the flame and add the yogurt mixture to the meat dish.

After another quarter, turn off the stove.
