Layered Sour Cherry Dessert

sour cherry are one of the most delicious summer fruits that have many fans with their sour and special taste. Many desserts can be prepared with this delicious and popular fruit. Sour cherry dessert is one of them.

Ingredients :

  • sour cherry syrup: 1/2 cup
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Sugar: 4 tablespoons
  • Cornstarch: 2 tbsp
  • Flour: 2 tablespoons
  • Simple biscuits: 1 pack
  • Chocolate biscuits: 1 pack

Preparation method:

First, add flour, starch and sugar to the pot and mix together. Mixing these ingredients together prevents the starch and flour from becoming lumpy.

Add the sour cherry juice and syrup to the mixture and mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

After all the ingredients are dissolved in the water, put the pot on a gentle heat. Stir the ingredients regularly over a gentle flame until it reaches the desired concentration (similar to porridge).

When the material thickens, remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly. If the ingredients are not homogeneous, you can use a hand mixer.

Place a layer of  biscuits in your dish (rectangular Pyrex). Then pour a layer of sour cherry ingredients on it. Spread the ingredients evenly over the entire surface of the biscuits.

Put a layer of cocoa biscuits on the sour cherry  ingredients again. Cover the biscuits evenly with another layer of sour cherry ingredients.

Continue this process up to 5 layers. Cover the last layer of sour cherry dessert with sour cherry ingredients and smooth it completely.

Put the dessert bowl in the refrigerator for 3 hours to set and prepare.

Take the dessert dish out of the fridge and cut it into small squares. Garnish the sour cherry  dessert as desired (with sour cherry ) and serve in the desired dish.
