Lahmajun, which some call the Turkish Pizza Mistake, bears little resemblance to the classic Italian pizza. To make Lahmajun, Minced Meat is spread on a thin layer of dough. Before rolling out the dough, add some fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. You can find this food at low prices in most restaurants in the city.
Ingredients for Lahmacun dough:
- Flour: 5 cups
- Milk: (or water) one and a half cups
- Vegetable oil: a quarter cup
- Salt: 3 teaspoons
- Sugar: 1 teaspoon
- yeast : 10 g
Ingredients for the meat mixture:
- Minced meat: half a kilo
- Red pepper: 1 pc
- Green pepper: half a pepper
- Tomatoes: 2 pcs
- Large onion: 1 pc
- Tomato paste: 1 tsp
- Paprika Powder: 2 teaspoons
- cumin: one and a half teaspoons
- Black pepper: one and a half teaspoons
- Salt: 2 teaspoons
- Jafari: To the extent necessary
- Olive oil: one and a half cups
Mix all the dough ingredients in a bowl or mixer. Knead for about 5 minutes and let stand for two hours. Lahmacun dough is not like pizza dough, which can be said to be the main part of food. The important thing in making Lahmacun is its meat mixture, not the dough. While you are kneading the dough, prepare the meat mixture.
Add the peppers, tomatoes, parsley and onions to the blender and beat until well combined.
Add the parsley and mix.
This mixture should have a concentration between the concentration of the paste and the sauce.
Now add the paste, olive oil and spices to the meat and mix with your hands until smooth.
Mix all ingredients and prepare.
When the dough comes out, divide it into equal balls.The size of these bullets depends on the desired size of your Lahmacun. You can get them a little bigger than a ping pong ball. Cover the balls so they don’t dry out.
Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and roll out the balls with a rolling pin. Lahmacun dough should be very thin and about 2 mm. The material on it should not be too much. So one tablespoon of the mixture, or a little more, is enough for each ball of dough. Spoon the ingredients over the dough.
Ideally, Lah Majon should be cooked in the oven. If you can’t cook in the oven, cook in pizza or oven. Set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the lentils for about 5 to 10 minutes. Cook in pizza for about 3 minutes.
To serve them, add fresh lemon juice to them and pour the vegetable salad on it and pipe and sip.
