karniyarik is one of the delicious dishes with eggplant. As this dish can be prepared in the oven, it can also be prepared in the oven by frying. karniyarik is a very popular dish in Istanbul that is served in many restaurants in Istanbul. - Small eggplant: 6 pcs
- Medium onion: 2 pcs
- Tomatoes: 1 pc
- Green pepper: 8 pcs
- Garlic: 4 cloves
- Tomato paste: 1 tbsp
- Liquid oil, salt, black pepper, red pepper: as needed
- Rotated meat: 250 g
How to prepare karniyarik
Peel the eggplants and soak them in salt water for half an hour.
Wash the eggplants and dry them well with a clean towel or napkin and fry in low oil. Fry the peppers too
In the same pan, chop the onions and fry, add the meat and fry. Add the peppers, a square tomato, salt and spices and fry.
Add half a cup of water and let it cook for a minute and drain. Place the eggplant in the oven tray and cut a relatively deep length with a knife. Fill the inside of the sliced eggplant completely. Put a clove of garlic and a green pepper on the ingredients and cut a tomato and put it on the eggplants.
Dissolve a tablespoon of the paste in a glass of boiling water and pour over the tray. Do not spill eggplants on the ingredients as they may leak.
Bake in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for about 20 to 25 minutes. If you can’t use the oven, cook in a covered pan for about 25 minutes.
