Qatab is one of the traditional and delicious sweets of Yazd city in Iran. This sweet is very delicious and enchanting to the person. I definitely suggest you prepare this sweet.
ingredients:
- Flour: 2 glasses
- Yogurt: A glass
- Egg yolk: 2 pcs
- Solid oil: half a glass
- Baking powder: a Spoon of jam
Middle materials ghotab:
- Walnuts, almonds, pistachios and minced hazelnuts: a glass
- Sugar powder: a glass
- Cardamom powder: a quarter teaspoon
- rose water: One-third cup
How to prepare:
You can use a single Ajil nut or a mixture of several nuts to make a ghotab. Roll the kernels and mix them with powdered sugar, cardamom powder and rose water and make a paste.
To make the ghotab paste, first mix the yogurt and baking powder together and pour into a bowl.
Add egg yolks and oil and mix thoroughly to get a soft dough.
Put the dough in a sealed container and let it rest for two hours.
Next, spread the dough on a flat surface a few millimeters in diameter and mold with a round glass or mold.
From the middle ingredients, pour over the molded dough and collect it in the form of flowers and wrap so that the ingredients do not spill out.
Pour some oil into a deep frying pan and heat it well, fry the wrapped ghotab in hot oil and put them in a strainer to remove the excess oil and let it cool.
Then sprinkle powdered sugar on them and put them in a suitable container in the package. Now our Sweets is ready to serve.
