German Sweets

Now that most of us are at home all the time, it’s best to spend part of our time cooking and baking. One of the sweets we can make for the quarantine period is German sweets. It takes a while, but the end result is enjoyable.

ingredients:

Butter or solid oil: 100 g

Sugar powder: half cup

Vanilla: 1/2 teaspoon

Egg yolk: 1 number

Nectar or honey: 1 tablespoon jam

Warm milk or water: a tablespoon

Cocoa powder: 1 tbsp

Flour: 1 and a half cups

Materials needed for decoration:

Melted chocolate milk and cocoa chocolate: To the extent necessary

Marmalade and jelly: To the extent necessary

Pistachio powder: To the extent necessary

Coconut powder: To the extent necessary

How to prepare:

First, melt the butter or solid oil, but not hot; and mix with the powdered sugar and vanilla for 2 minutes until creamy.

Then add an egg yolk and mix for two more minutes. Then add a spoonful of honey or nectar with lukewarm water or milk to the rest of the mixture and add some more, then add cocoa powder and mix with a mixer. Finally, add the flour little by little and stir with a spoon until the dough accumulates in the dish.

The dough does not need to be kneaded and if you stir it too much, it will fall into the oil, which is not suitable. Put the prepared dough in nylon and refrigerate for half an hour. After half an hour, flatten the prepared dough inside the nylon to a thickness of half an inch so that all parts are even.

Then mold them with different or round molds. Line the bottom of the oven tray with greaseproof paper and place the pastries a short distance away. In the middle, we empty half of the molded sweets with the back of Masouleh Gard. Bake the cakes at 180 degrees for 10 minutes, and after the chocolate and cocoa chocolate has cooled, melt them separately using the Ben-Marie method. Garnish with chocolate, almonds, pistachio powder and coconut powder.

Pour some marmalade or jelly in the middle of the plain and unleavened sweets. Place the plain sweets below and the decorated hollow pastry on the bottom so that the sweets are paired. Our Sweets is ready to serve.
