Gado Gado

Gado Gado Salad is one of the most popular salads in Indonesia. In preparing this salad, a variety of cooked vegetables have been used and the combination of these vegetables with coconut and peanut sauce has created an attractive combination and a new taste.


  • Green beans: 250 g
  • Cauliflower: 500 grams
  • Carrots: 2 large
  • Potatoes: 2 large
  • Cucumber: 1 piece
  • Eggs: 3 pcs
  • Roasted peanuts: 2 cups
  • Coconut milk: 1 measure
  • Soy sauce: 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic: 1 Piece

How to prepare:

First, wash and Steamer the green beans, cauliflower and carrots. We also cook the potatoes well and boil them. Depending on your taste, wheat germ and broccoli can also be used to make this salad. After cooking the vegetables, it is time to chop them.

Cut the potatoes into small pieces and if it is large, divide it into four parts. Cut the beans in half and chop the carrots. We also divide cauliflower or broccoli into small pieces. Cucumbers can be chopped like sliced carrots or cut into regular slices.

Boil the eggs and divide each into 4 or 8 parts. After preparing the salad ingredients, place them in layers in a bowl. The order of the layers is no different. To garnish the salad, place the sliced eggs with a little sliced carrot (and, if desired, wheat germ) on top of the salad.

To make a salad dressing, pour the peanuts into a food processor and mix well with the coconut milk, garlic and soy sauce to make a smooth liquid. Then pour it into a separate bowl and place next to the salad.
