This bread is baked in several different cities of Iran in different ways. Today we want to teach you the recipe of Gilani.
- Eggs: 2 pcs
- Milk: 1 cup
- Sugar: 1/2 cup
- Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Flour approx: 4 scoops
- Turmeric: 1/2 teaspoon
- Brewed saffron: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: 1/2 tbsp
- Yeast dough: 1 tablespoon jam
- Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Pour the milk into the pot to heat a little. Then pour it with eggs, sugar, sourdough and oil in a bowl and mix using a mixer or a good mixer.
Add turmeric and saffron to the ingredients and stir until well combined.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder and then add to ingredients. Do not stick to the dough until it is obtained. Do not increase the amount of flour. If the dough does not stick to your hands, enough flour is enough.
When you have combined the ingredients and the dough is obtained, grease a bowl and sprinkle some flour on the dough and place it inside the bowl. Cover the dough with nylon and wipe with a clean cloth. Leave the dough to swell for 1 hour.
After the dough rests, take it out of the bowl, knead it a little and get it; Rest the dough again for 5 to 10 minutes. You rolled the dough into balls. Open each of the dough balls with a rolling pin and fry in hot oil in a pan. After one side of the bread is fried, fry the other side as well.
