Chicken Satay

Today we will teach you how to prepare simple Thai chicken satay with peanut sauce. The special ingredients used in the preparation of this chicken satay give this food an incredible taste.

Ingredients :

  • Coconut milk: 1/2 cup
  • Garlic: 1 plant
  • Curry powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar: 1 and 1/2 teaspoons
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chicken breast: 1 kg and 500 g
  • Wooden skewer: 10 pieces

Ingredients for peanut sauce:

  • Coconut milk: 1 cup
  • Curry powder: 1 tbsp
  • Peanut butter: 1/2 cup
  • Chicken stock: 3/4 cup
  • Lemon juice: 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce: 1 tsp
  • Salt: To the extent necessary

Preparation method:

To make chicken satay, first peel the garlic and then grate it.

Then in a medium bowl, mix 1 cup coconut milk, grated garlic, 1 teaspoon curry powder, brown sugar, salt and pepper until the sugar grains are well dissolved.

Now wash the chicken breast and peel it. Then cut into medium-sized cubes.

Then pour the sliced ​​chicken into the ingredients in the bowl and stir until well combined. Then cover the bowl with a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to make the chicken taste good.

Place a small frying pan on a medium gas flame. Then pour 1 cup of coconut milk, a tablespoon of curry powder, peanut butter, chicken stock and 2 cups of brown sugar into the pan and mix together a little and let it boil. Let it boil for 5 minutes and during this time, stir constantly until one hand thickens. Then remove the pan from the gas. Now add lemon juice and soy sauce to the peanut sauce and mix the ingredients well. Finally, taste the sauce and add enough salt.

Place the grill pan on a medium gas flame to heat.

Now take the seasoned chicken out of the fridge. Remove the wooden kebab skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes and place the flavored chicken pieces inside the skewers. Then grill each side of the chicken for 4 or 5 minutes.

Serve with hot peanut sauce.
