Chicken Panini is one of the types of grilled Italian sandwiches. - Melted butter: 1 tablespoon
- Freshly chopped vegetables (such as parsley, basil, mint and thyme): 1 tbsp
- Boneless chicken breast flavored with salt and pepper: 2 pcs
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Chopped onion: 1 cup or half a medium onion
- Pita bread or any round and flat bread: 2 pieces (cut the bread in half)
- Cheddar cheese slices: 4 slices
- Medium-sized tomatoes with thin slices: 1 pc
In a bowl, combine butter and vegetables and set aside.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken in oil for 5 minutes, cook both sides of the chicken so that it is not pink. Remove the chicken from the pan. Set aside to keep warm. In the same pan, pour the onion and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly until well fried. Remove the onion from the pan and set aside.
Spread half a teaspoon of butter on all 4 halves of the bread. Put 2 halves of bread in the pan so that the butter part of the bread is below. Place 1 slice of cheddar cheese, 1 chicken breast, half an onion and tomato and another slice of cheese on each loaf, and finally place the other half of the pita bread on top.
Bake the penini for two minutes and press the pinini with a spatula until golden. Then turn it over and cook for 2 minutes, pressing again with a spatula to melt the cheese. To serve, cut the sandwiches in half.
