What is Bulgarian Kebab? A delicious and excellent kebab with an attractive and different appearance. This kebab actually has two types, the popular type of which we will teach you. This kebab can be prepared with red meat or can be combined with chicken.
- Mutton or beef: 800 g
- Onions: 2 pcs
- Sweet pepper: 2 pcs
- Salt and pepper: To the extent necessary
Cut mutton or beef fillet into strips. Pieces of meat should be thin and a few centimeters long. For example, a length of 10 or 12 cm is good.
Now put the pieces of meat in a bowl. Cut the onions into rings and add to the meat. Add salt, pepper and spices to the meat. Then cut the bell pepper (or green pepper). Peel a squash, grate it and put it in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well to taste all the meat. Cover the bowl with a plastic bag and refrigerate. Wait about two to three hours for the Bulgarian kebab to taste delicious.
Now take the bowl out of the fridge. If the thickness of the meat is high, you can beat it with a meat grinder or steak at this stage to reduce its thickness and cook better. At this stage, you have to roll the meat. Take a piece of meat and roll it. Dip a meatball into the skewers, then add a slice of pepper and a slice of onion.
Repeat for all pieces of meat. You can cook Bulgarian kebab in a frying pan or on the grill and fire.
When the kebab is cooked and the color of the meat is dark, remove it from the heat and serve with fresh bread or rice.
If you want to cook Bulgarian kebab in the oven or in a frying pan, it is better to use two or more wooden skewers (depending on the size of the meat) so that the meat roll does not open. But for the brazier and fire, you have to use a metal skewer with a size that fits the dimensions of the meat roll.
Bulgarian meat and chicken kebab is prepared by placing chicken fillet rolls between mutton or beef rolls.
