Apple Cake

Today we will introduce you to how to prepare a delicious apple cake. You can use ripe red or green apples. This recipe is very simple and easy that you can taste with coffee or tea and even juice. This cake can also be a good option for serving for breakfast.


  • Eggs: 3 pieces
  • Flour: 1 and 3/4 cup
  • Sugar: 2/3 cup
  • Butter, softened at room temperature: 75 g
  • Cold water: 75 ml
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Apples: 3 pieces
  • Grated lemon peel: 1 pc
  • Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts for decoration (optional)


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 10-inch (26 cm) cake pan with butter. Separate the egg yolks from the whites. In a medium bowl, combine egg yolks with 1/3 cup sugar until thick, creamy and pale yellow. Add butter and mix, then add cold water, vanilla extract, cinnamon and lemon peel and mix well.

Beat the egg whites with a mixer until puffed. Gradually add 1/3 cup of the remaining sugar and stir until creamy. Add the egg whites to the yolk mixture and stir to one side using a spatula to prevent the egg puff from falling asleep. Gently add flour and baking powder and stir. Peel an apple, grate it and squeeze the juice.

Cut 2 apples into small pieces and 1 apple into thin slices for the cake. Put small pieces of apple in the dough. Pour the mixture into the prepared mold. Then arrange the apple slices on the dough regularly and add the walnuts. Bake for about 40 to 50 minutes, until a toothpick is inserted into the cake and comes out clean.
